France - During the last 40 years, pork consumption per capita has increased by 3,6 kg

During the last 40 years, meat consumption in France has had two different phases; between 1977 and 1998 a regular increase of per capita meat consumption was registered, going from 77,6 kg per capita to 94,5 kg, but between 1998 and 2009, consumption dropped to 87,8 kg.

During the last 40 years, meat consumption in France has had two different phases; between 1977 and 1998 a regular increase of per capita meat consumption was registered, going from 77,6 kg per capita to 94,5 kg, but between 1998 and 2009, consumption dropped to 87,8 kg.

Pork, representing 39% of total meat consumption, has seen a rise of 3,6 kg in consumption over the last 40 years, reaching a total of 34,3 kg.
